Built in 1926 the Conover Beacon, in Leonardo, New Jersey, was deactivated by the Coast Guard in 1957 and has been abandoned ever since. Appearances are deceiving and this is truly the case with the Conover Beacon as it is now added to the Doomsday List of Endangered Lighthouse. Back to the edition of: Jan/Feb 2007
