Notes: Robert Manning was an Empire resident and an avid fisherman. He often joked about how much easier it would be to return to port after dark if there was a lighthouse to guide him. After his death, Manning's friends raised funds for the building of this memorial lighthouse. It is located in a park with a sandy beach. Description of Tower: White, cylindrical wood and stucco tower, with green lantern and gold ventilator ball.

Directions: The memorial lighthouse is located at Empire Beach Park, near the intersection of Front Street and Lake Street in Empire. It is at the northernmost end of the park.
