Notes: The name Rotterdamse Hoek (Rotterdam Bend) owes its origin to the fact that the dike in this area was built in part with rubble resulting from the bombing of Rotterdam in 1940. The light tower was built in the early years of the development of the Noordoostpolder (Northeast Polder). Tower Height: 25 Height of Focal Plane: 43 Characteristic and Range: Isophase sector light, 10-second period, visible for 8 (white) and 5 (red) nautical miles.
