This lighthouse was designed by engineers David and Charles Stevenson. It was the last lighthouse in Scotland to have its keepers removed (1998). Tower Height: 85 Height of Focal Plane: 105 Characteristic and Range: Four white flashes every 40 seconds, visible for 24 nautical miles. Description of Tower: White conical tower.
