This past July, two children of lighthouse keeper Burleigh A. Chandler and their spouses visited Maine’s Little River Lighthouse where Burleigh Chandler was a Coast Guard lighthouse keeper from 1964 to 1967. While on the island, they enjoyed a picnic lunch and were given a tour by the current caretaker Terry Rowden, who coincidently was also a former lighthouse keeper at Little River Lighthouse from 1968 to 1970, a couple of years after Chandler was stationed there.
