Photo Caption:
This view shows the third Point Arguello Lighthouse Station. The tall tower to the left was the LORAN radio beacon tower. The middle shorter tower was the new metal structure that was now the lighthouse tower. To the right of the metal light tower was a modern foghorn trumpet. In the left hand corner of the photo is the debris from the demolished former lighthouses and fog signal building. (Lighthouse Digest archives.) Back to the edition of: Jan/Feb 2016
