The 1838 Lynde Point Lighthouse Station in Old Saybrook, Connecticut is one of the light stations being offered for free to qualified applicants. The lighthouse is sometimes referred to as Saybrook Inner Light. It was automated in 1975. The property includes a two-story duplex residence with three-bedrooms in each unit and a 1½-story, two-car garage, both built in 1970. If the proper permits could be obtained, the Lynde Point Lighthouse Station might make an excellent bed and breakfast. (Lighthouse Digest archives photo)
