Photo Caption:

A 1940 painting by Andrew Winter of Maine’s 1857 Seguin Island Lighthouse. The 53-foot-tall tower, with its 1st order Fresnel lens, is the highest lighthouse above water in Maine. Caretakers live at the lighthouse in the summer months to greet those lucky enough to make it out to the island.
