The original 1967 photo caption read: “With Ralph Lewis and friend Duke looking on, Robert Imhoff, Anacapa’s lone engineer adjusts the carburetor on the station’s tractor. The vehicle hauls supplies and refuse on the island.” It was this tractor that Robert Horton was driving the day he fell with it over the cliff edge.
