This image, taken by photographer Susan Grey, c. 1979, shows Betsy and Jamie Wyeth standing in front of the fog bell tower entrance. Betsy renovated the tower and created gun ports and window openings along with an exterior deck rail to represent Lord Nelson’s cabin quarters onboard his ship, which she then presented to Andrew as a birthday present by the time he painted Dr. Syn in 1981.
