*Photo Caption:*		Steve and Lynne Reed have the distinction of being the last children born to a lighthouse family stationed at Maine’s Pond Island Lighthouse. In 1960, Pond Island Lighthouse was automated and in 1963, the Coast Guard demolished all the buildings with the exception of the tower. The island is now a wildlife refuge.
