The Stamford Harbor Lighthouse as it appears today. According to a recent article in the Stamford Advocate, a local resident, Justin Bonar, along with others, went out to the lighthouse and after climbing the rusted metal stairs, they found an open hatch, through which they entered the lighthouse. Bonar said, “The lighthouse is really filthy, the birds have taken over inside.” This is a real shame considering how much money Eryk Spektor spent on restoring the interior of the lighthouse in the mid-1980s.
