Vintage image of the Twin Lights of Navesink in Highlands, New Jersey. It was here where the very first Fresnel lenses in America were installed. After the fixed 1st order Fresnel lens was removed from the north tower at the Navesink Light Station it later went on display at the 1915 Panama Pacific Exposition in San Francisco, then at the 1926 Sesquicentennial in Philadelphia, and finally at the 1933 Century of Progress Exposition in Chicago. Its whereabouts is now unknown. (Lighthouse Digest archives.)
