Keeper Charles F. Walters (b. 1890) is holding his infant daughter Evelyn in this 1922 photo. Charles served at Heceta Head for six years before coming to Coquille River in 1931. After nine years there, he went to Cape Meares (1940-1943) and Point No Point (1943-1952) lighthouses for a total of 27 years of lighthouse service. (Courtesy of the Walters and Hansen Families.)
