This image shows both the Ipswich Rear Range Lighthouse (l) and the Ipswich Front Range Light (r). Over the years, there were several different, but similar, structures used for the front light. Keeper Carl D. Hill was in charge of both structures. One winter when the sand was frozen, Carl Hill was able to drive his car right up to the front range light, which was nick-named The Bug Light.
