The Nantucket Lightship in the waters off Portland Head Lighthouse in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. For a time the vessel was docked in Portland as a floating museum. Since the vessel was decommissioned it has had a number of different well intentioned owners. However, each time the ship fell victim to politics, or lack of adequate marketing and management and most importantly lack of adequate funding. Back to the edition of: Jan/Feb 2010
