Minnesota’s Split Rock Lighthouse is shown on our cover. The photograph was taken on November 10, 2020, when its beacon was relighted to memorialize the 29 crewmen of the SS Edmund Fitzgerald who lost their lives when the ship sank in Lake Superior in a storm on November 10, 1975. The 3rd order Fresnel lens is lighted every November 10th to honor their memory.
