Sherwood Point, Wisconsin The fog bell tower at Wisconsin’s Sherwood Point Lighthouse is another of the structures that resembled the Whitestone Point Lighthouse. Fortunately, the architecturally unique Sherwood Point fog bell tower is still standing and maintained by the United States Coast Guard. Because of its proximity to Lovers Leap, it was sometimes referred to as the Lover’s Leap Lighthouse. However, the 1883 Sherwood Point Lighthouse Station and its fog bell tower, as shown on this vintage post card, located in Green Bay, Lake Michigan in Idlewild, Wisconsin, is rarely open to the public.
