There were a number of structures built around the country that resembled or somewhat resembled the unique lighthouse that once stood at Whitestone, Point, New York. Although one of the light towers that once stood at Hell Gate in New York would bear the closest lighthouse resemblance, there were, and still are, also a number of fog-bell towers that also bore a close resemblance. We have highlighted a few of them for you, with a brief history of each.
