Carol Wall is shown taking a brush to the tower of West Quoddy Head Lighthouse where she once helped her father, lighthouse keeper Paul J. Kessler, to paint the stripes in the mid-1950s. The station is now owned by the State of Maine and the tower has not been painted since 2003.
