Notes:
This is Corsica's northernmost lighthouse and one of its oldest. Because of its remote location, it took 10 years to build, based on plans drawn up by Léonce Reynaud, an architect who worked as an engineer at France's Service des Phares et Balises and then was its director for 32 years (1846-78).

Directions:
Accessible by boat only. There is a good view of the island and the lighthouse from the Barcaggio waterfront.
