As soon as 600 automobile license plates featuring Rhode Island’s Rose Island Lighthouse are presold, the DMV will begin making them available to every automobile owner in the state who wants one. The numbers 18 and 70, shown on the sails of the boat, represent the year the lighthouse was established.
