The National Orange Show is an annual festival that has been held since 1911 in San Bernadino, California to promote the state’s citrus industry. At the height of its popularity, the event ran a full two weeks and featured displays from many counties, communities, and businesses from around the state. It was attended by tens of thousands of people including many dignitaries. According to Wikipedia, the show was cancelled during the war years from 1942 to 1946 and has been downsized ever since.
During our research, we discovered that in its early years, a few communities used a lighthouse theme to promote themselves. It is possible that over the years there were other communities or organizations that also used a lighthouse for their exhibits.
