Thanks to the commitment of new owners Dave and Lynn Waller, the historic Graves Lighthouse in Outer Boston Harbor, Massachusetts was brought back to its original grandeur. Part of that process included power washing the years of grime off the granite blocks of the 113-foot tall tower, which at times was a very slow process.

Dave Waller said, “We used the endlessly available salt water from the ocean being pumped up to a 4000psi pressure washer. Using a biodegradable mixture to break down the carbon buildup, we brought the lighthouse back to its original color.” (Photos by Joe Rallo, courtesy GravesLightStation.com.)
