When Virginia's Assateague Lighthouse closed for the season in December, the Chincoteague Natural History Association, which manages the lighthouse, recognized it volunteers with a pizza party. For this coming season the entrance to the lighthouse will be reorganized with a small gift shop at the entrance and
fee climbing area and the workroom will be turned into a
mini museum.
