The Long Beach Bar Lighthouse NY as looked when it was first built in 1871. In 1926 the lighthouse was extensively changed. The porch around the bottom of the lighthouse was removed, the screw-pile foundation and legs were removed and replaced by a concrete foundation with a basement. (Photograph courtesy Bob Allen.)
