On the far right is the "The Old Skipper" David P. Kincaide, Jr. at the St. Martin Lighthouse in 1939. On the left is 1st assistant keeper Harold A. C. Madsen, and in the middle is 2nd assistant keeper Louis Bauchan. We had the pleasure of again seeing Louis Bauchan at the Great Lakes Lighthouse Festival this past October. He is one of the last of the old U.S. Lighthouse Service keepers, a remarkable and wonderful person. This photograph is from Mr. Bauchan's collection.
