*Photo Caption:*		This photograph shows Ed Burge posing in front of the Elm Tree Lighthouse when this story was written in 1924. At that time he had served at the Elm Tree Lighthouse on Staten Island near New York City for 13 years. After 34 years of service it was an easier berth for him.
