The origianl site of the 1870 Cape Hatteras Lighthouse was marked by these 2-ton granite stones which were in a circle before Hurricane Isabel moved and covered them with sand. Just behind them in the picture, the 200th Anniversary of Lighting Cape Hatteras program takes place. Back to the edition of: December 2003
