*Photo Caption:*		This late 1800's photograph from the National Archives shows the Pottawatomie Lighthouse when it was in full operation. The nine sided lantern room was taken off years ago and the Fresnel lens was stolen. The Friends of Rock Island plan to rebuild the lantern room and restore the lighthouse.
