This rare photograph may be the only known photograph of Peter Brawn, who is shown standing in the middle in the back row. Directly in front of him is Julia Tobey Brawn. Peter was appointed Keeper of the Saginaw River Rear Range Light in 1864. However, after he became disabled, his wife actually did all the work.
