Marion Austin is shown here on his 90th birthday when in 2001 he was presented by Michael Wright with a framed keepsake of the Squirrel Point Lighthouse that included photos of the lighthouse and its history. Austin was born at Squirrel Point Lighthouse in Maine where his grandfather George Matthews was the lighthouse keeper from 1898 to 1912. (Michael Wright collection, Lighthouse Digest archives.)
