One of the many films with a lighthouse-themed storyline produced during the Golden Age of silent cinema, Out Yonder (1919) starred Olive Thomas as the lightkeeper’s daughter. Olive’s sister-in-law, Mary Pickford, was also a famous silent film actress and starred in at least two lighthouse films of her own: The Lighthouse Keeper (1911) and The Love Light (1921).
