The original 1878 Pea Point Lighthouse at Blacks Harbor, New Brunswick, Canada is shown here to the right; and on the left is the new Pea Point Lighthouse that was built in 1965 as its replacement. The 1878 structure no longer stands. Andrew Murray was the keeper here from 1920 to 1946. He and his wife Myrtle raised 12 children at the lighthouse, nine of whom were born in the original 1878 structure. Family members from Pea Point Lighthouse would often visit the keeper and his family at Southwest Wolf Island Lighthouse. (Photo courtesy Kelly Anne Loughery, from the C.A. Stuart collection)
