Another Harper’s Monthly Magazine photo from 1914 shows the local store on Tangier Island which was owned by Peter Crockett, another relative of Asbury Crockett. Asbury would sit and visit with the Tangier watermen around the potbelly stove before returning to the lighthouse when he came to shore every day. He was most likely related to all those shown in the photo. (Lighthouse Digest archives)
