From a vintage post card, Michigan’s Menominee North Pierhead Lighthouse is shown here with its fog signal building and before the tower was raised in 1900 and installed on top of a concrete base. At that time, the lantern held a 4th order Fresnel lens. In 1906, a new duplex house, on shore, was built for the keepers to live in. It still stands today as a private residence.
