Augusta Schwab Bufe was born on March 21, 1879 in Springwells, Michigan. She married Otto M. Bufe on February 28, 1900. Augusta was a widow for 26 years until she died on October 19, 1948 at the Tubercular Sanitorium in Howell, Michigan at age 69, having also succumbed to the disease. She is likely buried there.
