The rusting Hambrooks Bar Lighthouse, shown here, was built in 1902 on Rooster Island in the Choptank River by Cambridge, Maryland. Rooster Island used to be a large sand spit, which eroded away over time. Back to the edition of: Jul/Aug 2020
