This period photo of Libby Island Lighthouse looks like it was taken from about the same location 200 yards offshore where Samuel Holbrook drowned. The assistant keeper’s house with the white fence railing in front of it has a very good view from which Bertha Holbrook and Ada Foss could have observed the tragedy taking place.
