Photo Caption:

This historic image of Gull Rocks Lighthouse was taken long before the skeletal tower, topped with an acetylene beacon, was installed next to the house. When this photo was taken, lanterns were displayed from the windows at the east and west peaks of the A-frame structure. One light was a fixed white light and the other was a fixed red light.
