This photo, taken at the boathouse at Eldred Rock Lighthouse, shows Nils P. Adamson (left), John Silander steadying the Point Sherman rowboat, and John Currie sitting near the boathouse door. The photo was probably taken by the visiting keeper from Point Sherman. With the two lighthouses being only eight miles apart in the Lynn Canal, the keepers probably saw each other frequently. One of the two Eldred Rock station boats shown was most likely the vessel that Currie and Silander used on the fateful day of their trip to Point Sherman from which they never returned.
