The original first order Fresnel lens from the Cape Mendocino Lighthouse can easily be viewed in this replica of the lighthouse at the Humboldt County Fairgrounds in Ferndale, California. The Coast Guard says that the lens is in danger at this location where it has been on display for 62 years, and they now want it back. Back to the edition of: July 2010
