Aerial view of the original 1867 South Fox Island Lighthouse to the left and the new South Fox Island Lighthouse erected at the site in 1934. The new tower was originally erected as the Sapelo Island Lighthouse on Sapelo Island Georgia where it was in use until 1934 when it was dismantled and shipped to Michigan to become the new South Fox Island Lighthouse.
