The model of the Dunlap Reef Lighthouse and range lights (1881), created by Dan Austad, sits in front of a full wall painting of Lake Michigan in rough weather. The Dunlap Reef range lights were discontinued in 1924. The rear light, devoid of its tower, was moved ashore and is a private residence still standing in Sturgeon Bay.
