In 1938, one of the most ornate Victorian lighthouses ever built in America, the Cleveland Harbor Lighthouse was demolished. However, the government saved large portions of the structure to build another lighthouse in another state that, although shorter, resembled the original structure. Shown here, from the book, are all that remains of the Cleveland Harbor Lighthouse after it was torn down. Back to the edition of: May 2009
