Notes:
This lighthouse has been badly endangered by neglect and vandalism since it was discontinued in 1952. In 1986 the General Services Administration put the light station up for auction. It was bought for $55,000 by two businessmen. The lighthouse was transferred to the Cameron Preservation Alliance/Sabine Pass Lighthouse Inc. in May 2001. They hope to restore the structure. Declared one of the Ten Most Endangered Properties in Louisiana by Louisiana Preservation Alliance.
