Notes:
It is the shortest lighthouse in New Brunswick and is one of 12 wooden lighthouses remaining on the St John River. It was decommissioned in 1994 and in 1999 it was moved off of its crumbling cribwork next to the wharf up onto the high water wharf (the wharf at Hampstead had two levels for high and low water). In 2001 it was acquired by the St. John River Society and moved to its current location on solid ground at the base of the high water wharf. It is both visible and easily accessible from Rte 102 in Hampstead.
