This lighthouse was damaged in the 1982 Falklands conflict and was replaced by a modern light nearby.

1840s: Wooden marker; 1855: 60-foot cast iron tower with red and white bands (painted white in 1889).

Current Use: Historic landmark.

Open To Public? Grounds only.

There are plans to open an exhibit on lighthouse history in the base of the tower in 2005.
