This past June, hooligans vandalized the Menominee North Pier Lighthouse in Menominee, Michigan with anti-Trump and other graffiti. However, within hours, volunteers had removed the graffiti. Soon thereafter, two suspects, a 22-year-old male and a 17-year-old male, were arrested and charged with the crime.

From a vintage post card, Michigan’s Menominee ...

The 1877 Menominee tower is similar in design to other lighthouse towers built around the same time in Vermilion, Ohio; Cheboygan, Michigan; and Genesee, New York. In 1927, the tower was raised in height when it was installed on top of a square concrete foundation.
