The Stonehorse Lightship LV 53 is shown in 1939 tied up at the dock at the Chelsea Lighthouse Depot in Massachusetts. The picture was taken by a crewman from onboard the Lightship LV 81 that was also in port. The Stonehorse Lightship LV 81 was built in 1892 in West Bay City, Michigan and decommissioned on June 6, 1951 and sold on September 15, 1951. However, the mast and its lantern have survived and are part of the signage of the Villa Romanza Restaurant in Yardsville, New Jersey.
